Title: Fernley, NV 4/3/11

My club, The Nevada Old Timers, made a new track in Fernley. We now have three tracks at our property. A jumpy track, an old school MX track and a pee-wee track.
4/3/11 was our first race on our new track. Fewer jumps, longer straights and DEEP sand! I loved it, even though I had a tough weekend. I am the finish line flagger and I have to wait for someone to take over for me so I can go to the line for my moto. With me racing 40+jr and the club race and my son racing 85jr we ended with back-to back motos (#16-85jr and #17-the club race). I had to wait for my son to relieve me so I could join my club race already into the first lap. I waited for the last rider to cross the finish line on the first lap and then joined in. At least I got credited for all my laps, even though I got last. It makes for a long day at the races.

That's pretty cool Larry, I'm gonna have to try and get out there. I live in Reno but have only ridden in the North Valleys.

We are having a practice weekend on 4/23-24/11.
10:00am-3:00pm.
Fully prepped and watered track $20.

I will be parked in the infield next to the finish line. White Toyota Tacoma with two KTMs. One 85(22x) and one 250(63r). Come and say hi!

Wish I lived in NV, the tracks in New England are all over $30 per day to practice, and they are usually not groomed at all and hardly ever watered.
