Whats the best way to reduce the handlebar buzz on an 05 CR250? I have seen a number of solutions but I would like to know what people have had the best luck with.
-
You are talking about the vibration through the bars? A thicker, softer set of grips will take the sting out of it, but I couldnt belive how much my rm250 buzzed, but now ive got used to it i dont notice it, just get some more seat time and youll stop noticing it :D

rubber bar mounts, flex bar, 1 1/8th bars, thicker softer grips
-
Spray foam insulation, silicone caulking, length of rubber hose, all work pretty well as cheap solutions to dampen vibrations when "installed" inside your bars.

I like FMF Ergo's.Soft and cushy with a big soft hump in the middle.

Just in case I would check all your motor mount bolts/head steady bracket to make sure nothing is cracked or loose.

Thanks for the feedback.

One thing to check and replace are the springs for the exhaust. I thought mine were fine... but during a rebuild I replaced them as they're cheap... HUGE difference... Changing the springs cut the vibs down considerably.

I got an 05 CR and dont really notice any vibration, but i have TAG fat bars and some reasonably thick Ariette grips.

I have an 04 and my son has a 2006. The bars are rubber mounted stock. The rubber mounts get hard and brittle every few years, Change them out with OEM Honda parts, and don't over torque them.

The RG3 4 rubber mount t. clamp is awesome, I,ve been using them since 01. My cr125,s have higher and farther forward custom clamp, only 230.00 for it last year, I bartered a little bit. The clamp should help ya, but there,s rubber snakes to stick inside your bars too. I like honda,s stock grips, there good and sticky.
