Title: 2010 ktm 250 xc vs. '11 ktm 250 xc, ?

Is the 2011 ktm xc that much better than the the '10? This would be my first 2 stroke. Riding a '02 wr250f with some mods now. Have out grown it and I am looking for a fun new ride. I have read all the reviews I could find so I know all the technical differences, just wondering if its worth the extra $. Coming from a '02 wr I am sure either one will blow my mind and be a lot of fun. Thought I would get some feed back before making the big decision... Thanks, Frank

Depends on your budget i suppose.

I know one of the changes is that the '11 is now a 6 speed.  Not a big difference for Eastern riding, but I bet it is huge advantage out west!

I would prefer a 6 speed when looking for a woods or enduro-bike.
But it all depends on;
-your location?
-your budget?
-are spare parts available?

Considering how far developed the 2010 bike is over most of the other 2 strokes around, suzh as the current yz's, it is a step ahead of most of the competition, the 2011 bike is a better bike, but if there is a big difference in price the 2010 will be the better choice because it is still one of the top 2 stroke off road bikes, and a major upgrade from your wr  :D
