That,s Cool , Looks like you had a few injuries. I made it thru orientation in Chicago, alot of drivers didn,t make it. One big husky guy tried to j walk and a car mowed him down and left the scene, the car behind him chased the guy down. The guy from my class broke his femor, tibula, fibula and shatered his ankle. He had numerous surgeries in Chicago, that,s Chicago for ya crazy. So I guess you can get hurt anywhere.

Awesome article devin

Yes I have had a TON of injuries..... Broken 30something bones, complete reconstructive surgery of my right leg and been out cold unconscious 13 times now. Broken both wrists and ankles numerous times, dislocated my wrist, broken tail bone, cheek bone, cracked hip, shattered both heels, all my toes and fingers, ribs, broke my back twice, separated shoulder, dislocated both shoulders..........the list goes on. Most all of that has been since 2004. Since 2004 I have spent close to if not over 4 years in a wheel chair or cast if you totaled it all up which is probably why I have never gotten a ton faster! haha

well done keep up the fight.

Nice :)
-
Imagine if you would have been racing those four years...
-
ya i know..... kinda sucks!
-
Nice writeup Devin, Glad to see you get some recognition.
-
Cool. All I could think of when I was reading that was your injuries.Having had my share, though not that many,I can honestly say that some you forgot about come back to haunt you in later years-pain wise anyway. :(
-
I've suffered a lot of injuries over the years and have found that constant exercise seems to keep the aches and pains away.
-
I spend about 3 hours a day in the gym and I still hurt like hell every day. To be quite honest though racing is my life and I wouldn't have it any other way.
-
Very nice article Watson.
Do you race local races that pay out? I know around here the pro purse isn't very much but it seems like it would help pay for gas.
Congrats on the article.
-
We dont really have local races. Closest track to me during the winter is 5 hours and in the summer its about 3 hours. I just race wherever I can!
-
Go to the Glen Helen two stroke championship. It would be great to get a tsm pro there. Grab a helmet cam too :)

I was planning on going to GH but work is still too slow plus every extra penny we have is going toward this graphix company right now.

WELL written and says it all about our sport! Dedication is the main factor, broken bones and lack of sponsors and you keep it going, WHY? Cause of the love of the Sport
