Hey Guys...
I just got my February 2010 issue of Motocross Action and the main site is listed in the "On The Mainjet" section under MXA's to-do list.
This is very exciting for me...

I just got my new MXA and saw the same mention of TwoStrokeMotocross.com. That's cool you got some press. I've been reviewing your site and just registered, so count me as a new member. I'm stoked I found it. I've been riding 2 strokes my whole life except for a brief "experiment" with a 2007 YZ450F from '07-'09. I just sold it and bought a new '09 YZ250. Let the good times smoke again....

well done John.

Thanks a bunch guys!! It's all because of you.
Welcome to the site and forum Bill.

Congratulations John. 8) :-* :D ;D
Who would have thought you could have brought it this far???
Now it's time to go to work. Post interesting articles, cool videos and technical information. Oh wait, that's what is happening. So let's double that effort. I'll see if I can hold up my end of the deal. I'm working on an interview with Ernie Solize of Torco Racing Oils. He provides some interesting insight. I'll hurry that up :o

Is Pt III of the Maico article still in progress, or did I just miss it?

Hey, I know i am one of the younger members of twostrokemotocross.com but, would I be able write an article as well? I would put a great deal of effort into it, and I have English coming up as a course next semester, and maybe I would be able to get my English teacher to help me out. Maybe you guys could discuss it?

One of my year-long projects in English is a long, detailed research paper on the two-stroke. I intend to send that to John for consideration when it's done. I don't think it'll contain anything we haven't seen before, but I'm hoping it's going to be concise and devastating in tone, more than anything. The Politically Incorrect guide to 2T vs 4T, basically.

Well, good luck, I am sure that it will turn out quite well, because even though you are only 18, you don't act, or talk like those goofballs on youtube, who get their info from magazines, Honda ads, or their 13 year old friends. You sound much more intelligent and capable.

Hey Hondacrrder - when you get your article written, send it in. In a way this is an "open" forum, a place for the two-stroke racer to voice their opinion.
It doesn't matter how old you are, just that you write in english and it can be understood by others!! :D

Please, please PLEASE! No offence to you younger guys but I'll say it anyway. Don't use texting shortcuts or grammer. That will hurt you every time. I don't know how English teachers fix that habit!

Oh, I am so sorry. I did not realize i am not speaking proper English. For me, i don't have a cell phone, so, I guess I don't know how i am using texting slang, so, maybe, i will not write the article, until my English improves.

Hondacrrider, I don't think he was calling anyone out for writing like that, just asking that folks write using the "Queen's English". But no worries anyway because everyone needs some spelling or grammar help when writing long form.
Usually I have my wife, who happens to be a terrific proof reader to proof my stuff. I always get into trouble when I'm in a hurry to get something posted on the site and don't have her check it first.... it can be ugly!
Please do write it... even if you write in pigeon English.... we'll work together to make it really good.
-
hondacrrider, I was not specifically pointing you out. I mentioned it because it happens all to frequently. That said, TSM has the VERY BEST posters on it of any forum I have been on. There is very little (if any, I can't really think of an instance of it off the top of my head) of that type of writing.
2 things you need to remember!
1. Never let anyone discourage you from doing anything. If I did that, I apologize. That was not my intention.
2. Write it out!! We are looking forward to reading your thoughts.
3. (I wasn't ever good at math) You need to have a "greasy back" in most anything you are going to do. This is goos advice given to me years ago. People will criticize you, no matter what you do. Take the good from it, blow off the ignorant. This is especially true if you are writing anything or, your work is put out into the public. Don't let it/them get you down :P 8)
