I hope he is CRAZY fast !!
-
If it's the guy I think he's referring to, he will be.
-

-

-
Does anyone know if a 2001 can enter the race? If so which class?
-
this is all I could find on mxsports.com
B. MACHINE ELIGIBILITY AND CLASSIFICATION
1. Riders may ride a stock motorcycle in a modified class.
2. 2012 model machines are NOT eligible in any class.
3. To be eligible for a STOCK CLASS, the following cannot be changed or modified: Internal engine components, electronics, frame, carburetor, air box, swing arm, rim size, wheel hubs and exhaust system. Cylinder re-plating is allowed but must retain the original manufacturer's bore. Changes to carburetor jetting are allowed. Clutch plates, pistons and piston rings may be accessory items so long as they maintain the stock shape, design and material of the OEM parts. High compression pistons are not allowed. All other internal engine components must be stock OEM parts. Material may be added to the existing frame for strength, including welding. OEM front and rear suspension can be altered with internal modifications only. Shock linkage and suspension spring rates may be changed to any commercially available part. Changes/modifications to the silencer are allowed for the sole purpose of complying with current sound requirements.
Any items not listed above may be changed or modified. Violations of the stock class rules as determined by the protest process or by the referee of the event will result in a disqualification from the class, or at the Qualifier level, assignment to the appropriate class. A second violation will result in a disqualification from the class and a suspension from AMA competition for one year. Changes that are cosmetic in nature are allowed, so long as there is no performance advantage.
the guy that won the vet class last yr on a 125 I believe was on an 04 so I think it'd be fine. What class would you try to qualify in?
-
Yeah, he did. I'll have to talk to the guy I would put on it. He is a fast A rider, he rides a yz 250 in the 250 class, and a 450 in the 450 class. So he's half good. :)
But he is fast, I'm going to watch him race at Budd's Creek next weekend. I'll see if I can get it done. Thanks for the info. :)
-
sweet that'd be awesome.
-
Yeah that's who I thought it was.
-
havent found anything on a year restriction but with the 144 kit you could race 250A or 250B modified
-
There is no age limit at Lorettas and you can pretty much ride the 144 in any class you want. I am gonna be trying to go back in 250A and 25+. I know I will be able to qualify, its just the matter of the cost to get from Oregon to Ten. Last time I went gas was a million times cheaper than it is now and it cost us a few thousand in gas.
-
I would put bigger radiators on the 144, the Tn. heat and mud on at least 1 day will not be kind on the 144. The L.L. race imo is way too expensive, if you get 4th overall you get nothing. They test fuel at L.L. and the stuff you have to use is crazy expensive.
-
Pro racing the fuel is $36 a gallon at dealer cost!
-
Wow thats crappy haha. I though I was having it rough at $12 a gallon
-
What fuel r you using ACMX ? I was using cam2 110 leaded, the station switched to Renegade 110 leaded, after 3 days I can,t use it in my mod bike. I,LL have to get a barrell of VP c12, for the mod bike. Is the 36 a gallion fuel, the stuff you have use at L.L. ? thx
-
Idk what type of race fuel my local place has, I'll have to ask. I just know it's 110 octane. I mix that 50/50 with premium pump gas and mix it 32:1. It's sacrificing a couple hp but I get the most life out of my bike. I just wish i could find a place that's ethanol free around here :(
-
there's a website some1 showed me once it showed all the locations of where leaded gas is still sold. Some gas stations still sell it
-
Yeah I saw it too. Nothing near me though unless I want to get a passport.
-
how far are you from port townsend?

-
Yeah I saw it too. Nothing near me though unless I want to get a passport.
I guess I am lucky, because it is hard for me to find gas with Ethanol
-
About an hour
-
Haha that is within a mile from where I used to live.
-

;D I just qualified for the South Central area amatuer regional at Thunder Valley Colorado in all my classes. 250 C Mod, 450 C , and College boy class. All on my 2009 Yamaha YZ 250. And the pro classes at my area qualifier were swept by 250 2strokes. 1st and 2nd place were always 2 bangers
