hey guys i was thinking of getting my wheels on my yz powdercoated, anyone have experience on how well this would hold up? Btw i dont really have 600 to spend on a set of excel rims

I would buy some Pro Wheel rims instead. Depending on who does the powdercoating it may or may not weaken the rim.
Powdercoat is baked in an oven from 15-30 minutes at tempratures from 200-400 degrees depending on who does the work, Aluminum alloy starts to change around 400 degrees. Alot of folks have powdercoated rims and had good luck....it just seems to risky to me.

that was really helpful, thanks, i checked out the pro wheels theyre pretty affordable, i looked at there spokes and theyre steel and can be powdercoated is the same true for oem spokes or are they also alluminum alloy?
