"Meanwhile in the 250 Pro class, Billy Musgrave moved up from the Intermediate ranks for the first time and went home with the 250 Pro victory. Musgrave??s win was also notable because he was on a KTM 150SX two-stroke in a field of 250 four-strokes. "
"Over-40 Intermediates: This was another two-stroke victory as Dan Alamangos used a box stock Yamaha YZ125 to post a 2-1. Amazingly, second place went to another YZ125 two-stroke with Cary Brown going 3-3. Shaun Hanson, who was second overall in the Vet Intermediates, was third in the Over-40 Intermediates with a 1-5. Tim Harris, also on a two-stroke took fourth with Mike Phillips in fifth. Two-strokes also won the Over-40 Pro class (with Willy Musgrave) and, of course, the 125 Novice class (with Carson Forbes)."
Looks like the two strokes are starting to take over glen helen.

This is awesome. Great to see, this is one of the biggest year round amateur motocross series that is recognised all around the world. Hope to hear many more stories like this one !!

It's nice to see series letting the 150s into the 250F classes. Obviously 250 vs 250F is ideal but the 150SX can obviously still be competitive.

i just picked up an 09 150sx. its used but in decent condition. i weigh 200lbs and it hauls me around pretty well. for jumps right after turns i need to carry momentum thru the turn and get on the gas smoothly, but it is really fun. so light and flickable. the motor screams to the moon.
i think i need to check out REM again. its been awhile.....

There,s a 35plus 125 2-st. race on 6-5-11 at cmj located at Hixton Wisconsin. The track is in western wi., great layout big hills, 100 yard up hill whoop section is killer. Ron Lechien raced his kx500 there years ago.

WOW! Awesome news!
You missed this one quote....
125 ADULT ??A?
REM hosts a special 125cc two-stroke class (apart from the regular 125 Novice class) and it is not only popular, but the competition is bar-banging close. With a 2-1 Dan Alamangos (YZ125) took the victory over Ron Lawson (KX125) would went 1-2. Last week, Lawson was first and Alamangos second. Cary Brown (YZ125) was third, Brian Pappalardo (RM125) fourth and Randy Skinner (RM125) fifth. If you have a trusty, but rusty, 125 gathering dust in your garage, feather dust it and head out to REM.
This would be great to see on video.

Yeah, I read that too. I forget how fast 125s can get around a track. That Billy Musgrave kid is kickin some serious butt on that 150. It would be nice to see this in the Pros. Come on Petition!

I found out about the race I listed on www.wisconsinmx.com (http://www.wisconsinmx.com) , the track manager raced the last minute 125 35a class at rd.3 of the racerX vet series, at Aztalan last sept they had 28 riders signup, the weather was terrible too,Azzy just added the race on there own. The track manager at CMJ had so much fun, he added the non ama class to his race. The 125a adult class at REM, sounds like a barn burner. ;D A pack of 125 specialist is the closest thing,to a airial dog fight you,ll ever see.

Would that be Ron Lawson from Dirt Bike magazine?

Would that be Ron Lawson from Dirt Bike magazine?
No, team Kawasaki,s Ron Lechein on his factory KX500, the week before Millville, he raced at CMJ and the local riders smoked him. The track isn,t too far from the Mn. state line, big track like a national, with big hills.
