Who's the biggest baddest beast? 2000 KX500 vs 2011KX450F (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vau3sOsVxz4#ws)
some british magazine guys doin a test i knew it had to be put on here.
-
put the KX motor in the KXF frame.

Some british magazine?? ???
That is filmed right here in the country of two strokes, Australia. A track just outside Brisbane actually. Was a good test, and I know the guys doing the testing quite well. That KX500 had all of the trick bits it was using back in 2000 missing, as they had been robbed from it over the years as the bike sat in the corner of a storage shed.

"Trying to compeh, a very old boyk to one of the new ones."
Very old?! If I was alive when it was made, it's not very old (unless it's a computer or food dish).
Kick-ass video though, that 500 was quite literally flying.

The 500 would destroy the 450 in straight line acceleration, with tit in the new chassis?? well let your imagination do the work, personally it's way too much bike for me

Whenever I have the dream that someday I will be finacially well off, I think that I'd like to have one of those in the garage. But I hate riding 500's so I would never ride it, just have it in the collection :) .

You hate riding 500s? That's like saying you hate having sex with your wife. Either way it means you should pack up your things and get the hell out. :P
-
I like his response though.
"How did you like the KXF 2011?" "Oh, it was very quiet compared to the 2010. Ya, very quiet bike. Yup, it is a very quiet bike" Kinda like a XR200 eh bloke?
"How did you like riding the KX 500?" "OH I knew those bikes had a lot of horse power I just didn't remember how much and how much fun it would be. Ya, was a lot of fun. Was great to just twist the throttle on the thing. Lots of fun and lots of power". I'd root that bike, mate.

When my wife flips me over and lands on top of me it doesn't hurt as much as a 500 doing the same thing ;)

Nah spend some time on a 500, on the extremely tight trails we ride, trying to ride it fast. No fun at all. If I had more open areas to ride, or I liked to just put around like I see some guys on here doing maybe I would feel differently about them.
-
Ive rode just about every bike/size out there from 94 on up, but I have never rode a 500......always wanted to. When I started racing in 1995 nobody I knew ever had one and you hardly ever seen them at the track.
Judging by how hast a 250 is compared to a 125 I bet a 500 would be crazy fast.

500 2Ts are the most difficult dirt bikes to ride and even more difficult to ride fast, that is what makes a 500 so satisfying once you master them.A 125 is either on pipe or not so they always behave the same whereas a 500 behaves differently with each incremental step in the throttle, that big 500cc 2T is loading the chassis differently at different r.p.m..If you haven't mastered throttle control a 500 will wear you out in 10 minutes but if you learn to work with them a 60 mile blast in the desert on a big 500 is something you won't soon forget. ;D
