Title: New bike!
Post by: Hondacrrider on December 28, 2010, 04:19:03 PM
So, I picked my sister up an 80(two stroke of course). It is a 1991 frame with a 2001 motor. What do you guys know of this bike? Any general problems with the bike? Anything I should be aware of? How often should I do the top end(she is a beginner rider) and what oil to fuel mix should i be running?

The RM80/85's have a reputation of having torquey little motors well suited to beginners. As for fuel, run a quality oil and gas and mix it according to the manufacturer's spec's.If she is a beginner the top end will go a long time, when the compression starts to drop off it is time to service the top end.

Great little bikes, keep an eye on the steering stop on the head tube they break off easily
