It's more like a slight uphill drag. :)
The only benefit to the smaller hills is that both riders tend to cross the finish line, so it's more like a race.
Instead of seeing who can hold onto the bike the longest, which is still fun!
Hill Climbing comes in 2nd on my list of fun, behind Scrambles. :)

That 500 didn't win by much, I was expecting a blowout since we always hear a 250 2T is equal to a 450 4T by the AMA :D

Seriously though, I love climbing hills. I always wanted to build a bike strictly for hill climbing, but never did.

Tractors have the natural traction advantage on a hill climb. I love hill climbs. On a 2 stroke.
The fun of a hill climb is having to hold on  :o , not thump up a hill  :'( . Just my 00.2   :P

I think I like the old fashioned "On Any Sunday" hillclimbs where you have the ropes,spotters and riders rolling down the hill with their bikes cartwheeling behind them.Looks more challenging.
