Hey Opfer you know that you have to keep an eye on the needle bearing that supports the mainshaft opposite the clutch. This bearing is prone to wear and if it fails the gearbox gears will bind and press apart the cases. This does happen the odd time with the bigbore Maicos. Clues are that the bike will have a tendancy to miss the 4th gear shift and the clutch won't stay in adjustment.

I got new needle bearings for both shafts, they were bad on this bike.
