trying to decide on what one im gonna get. looking at the go pro or the contour. my buddy broke his indestructible case on his go pro and i don't feel like wasting $300 on something that's gonna break after a few rides.

Dude I slammed my gopro into the ground several times in crashes and the indestructible case has never broken. it really is indestructible.

skip to 3:20 My mount did break on the second crash but there are two of those per purchase.

Yep definitely a brutal sport we compete in. I have only just got back up to speed after breaking my right leg a few months ago, and on the weekend I broke my left leg. Not good. Another two months out of action.

That camera footage of the camera spinning around while someone was carrying it was making me feel ill. And why didn't you straighten out your forks before your third moto ??

we were riding some pretty tight trails in PA and a low hanging branch snagged the camera and ripped him right off the bike. im pretty sure it was the case and not the mount that broke. i asked him to email me a picture if he can find one.

I recommend the ContourHD (not the 1080p one, unless you're loaded.)  I read the tale of someone whose Contour somehow plummeted from some great height (attached to a parachute or something) in an accident, and in the rush to evacuate the camera's owner, the camera got left where it lay.  Then, six months (including the winter months) later, they realized they'd left the camera there, went back to the location, and found it.  To their amazement, it still worked perfectly in every function.

They have a bad reputation for causing a lot of wind noise, but if you locate the hole for the microphone (on the underside of the camera) and cover that with a piece of scotch tape, the wind noise is cut dramatically, and what you're left with is the noise of your bike, and just enough wind noise at high speed to let the viewer know you're really moving.  Before, I couldn't hear my Husky over the wind, but by adding the piece of tape, now it can be heard easily in sixth gear.

I also tend to think the Contour looks better, and I prefer the side-of-helmet perspective it produces.  The lasers to help you aim it right work brilliantly and help a lot.  The only problem I had was that the adhesive mount did start to separate from the helmet (or rather, the adhesive pad stayed on the helmet but separated from the plastic mount) and so we filled the gap with super glue and that problem was solved for eternity.

Do you find the bike is faster with the "Factory racing" clutch cover ?
I put one on my RM and I was sure I wasn't  :P
