Real quick, speaking of Yamaha, I recently saw a photo you posted on Twitter of all your new bikes. Have you even had a chance to ride them yet?
No, not really, but I've got plans for each and every one of them and the 450 has got FMX written on it, so I might be throwing that thing around soon. I've seen Beau Bamburg whip that thing inside out, and Twitch looks pretty comfy on it and a few other guys are stomping it on the four-strokes. I got a chance to ride it at [Brian] Deegan's before X Games while I was practicing for Speed & Style and I underflipped that thing inside out and I got all the other tricks down. You know, it actually feels better for me, and if mine and Twitch's little plan goes through to revolutionize the layout of a freestyle motocross course, everyone's going to need a 450 to ride what we plan to build.
Wow, that sounds like an entirely different conversation for another time ...
Oh yeah.

Thats a good idea. ???
Lets change the tracks to suit an over weight bike and then we can tell everyone that they are better.
Oh yeh, lets NOT tell anyone that the bike has a 80% bigger motor. ::)
Where have I heard that before ?
-
I say let them try it. It is their lives on the line. Jeremy Lusk ring any bells ??
The four stroke thing wont last in FMX. If it does, I couldn't care less. It is purely a show, not a sport, and it does not interest me in the slightest. It is just downright boring

I await a couple burns from the hot pipe to teach them. 8)
-
The only reason they were remotely on my radar was because they were on smokers... not no more... >:D
-
I always thought freestyle was lame, Hey bro did that look cool?
-
In FMX, do they have rules or can they ride any bike? So someone could then just get a Maico 500 or 700 and ride the track built for the 450.
Truthfully, I won't be impressed until they take a 1981 Maico 490 or a 1974 Maico 501 and do some FMX with it, some double back flips, etc.
-
Is a 1980 Maico good enough?

That was a photo from when Magoo did some test riding for Dirt Bike magazine... awesome stuff.
I agree with eprovenzano the only reason FMX was on the radar was because they rode smokers!

There's such little margin for error anyway, how much less on a heavier 4-stroke.
-
ask josh hill if that was a good idea
-
Freestyle.Yuck.Likely the only bike related thing that's more boring than arenacross.
-
I have to agree with all of you guys, freestyle is extremely boring, i would rather pay to watch a bunch of old farts ride vintage dirt bikes around an MX track than go watch a bunch of show offs do the same shit over n over, hittin the rev limiter on those crappy 4 pokes every time they land. :'(
-
I actually like Freestyle, but that is mainly because of what Travis Pastrana contributes.

Was Jeremy Lusk riding a 4 stroke when he crashed?
