I thought I would put a effort in on here too, with other sites I have been trying on.
My dad raced these back then, went to Loretta's in 1984 in the 100A class, got 15th overall, anyway he is obsessed with these still says best bike he ever had, lol.
Anyway I have been looking around trying to find maybe a beat up one or something for cheap, and they are very hard to come by, I wanted to find him one and buy it give it to him for a present, then we can restore it.
But figured I would ask on here if anyone maybe had one, or knew where one was I could snag up for cheap.
Thanks!

I raced the 100cc class in the late 1970's... on a Yamaha YZ125 with a YZ100 cylinder on it...
Sorry I don't know of any for sale.
The most disturbing part of your request is that I'm older than your dad!! :o :o

My favorite trail rides are you where you have a wide range in rider ages, from teenagers to old geezers (like myself). Everybody just goes out and has a good time. Kind of like Two Stroke Motocross.
Have you thought of placing a wanted add for the YZ100 on Craigslist etc?

Im still looking for one of these bikes for my dad if anyone comes across one somewhere in midwest/eastern US, I might be willing to travel more now for it.

I just picked up a 1982 YZ100. The bike is in rough shape but runs. It is the red and white Euro/Canadian edition and is located in British Columbia, Canada.
I responded to an add for an 82 YZ125 (I've been stealing the wheels off them for vintage projects) and when I discovered the bike was a 100 I grabbed it anyway knowing how rare these full size 100's are getting.

My dad would really lose it if I found a white and red one probably.
I dont care about shape, I want to find a POS one for cheap and restore it, then give it to my dad.
He is obsessed with them.
