Title: DFW ride day...
Post by: miedosoracing on October 04, 2010, 01:59:21 PM
Ok, guys, let's plan this for those of you that live close.  I'm getting the itch. I'll probably bring my 125 since I haven't ridden a 125 for 10 years or so, fast. I've putted, but I wanna try to do some ok 1 lap fast. LOL.  (Arm pump from not riding since March)
List location you live, and we can try to find a middle ground track.  If you want, I'm ok with Shady Grove even. I don't care, just wanna ride. I'm not fast enough anymore to care.  I think Oct 17th sounds good???  It give everyone time to setup plans and stuff. What do you guys think.

My nephew lives out in Wylie... but he is a begineer/Novice... although he does have a YZ125!!

Not sure of your experiences, do you want a young rider who will probably ask you thousands of questions to join you?

Not a problem, and I'm slow again. So no worries.

I can do the 10th or 17th. I'm open to whichever.

Shoot, I wish I was gonna be there. I'm here in Louisiana and can't break away. My brother and nephew are close by. Would it be okay if I mention this to them. I need my brother to go out and break my bike in anyway.

I'm gonna stick with the 17th, and probably just go to Shady Grove since there aren't many who want to go. I'll be there at about 11 AM.  Anyone is welcome, and just look for an ragen asian.  Actually a slow asian with a CR125 or CR500AF. Not sure which yet.

Here's my bikes. www.miedosoracing.com (http://www.miedosoracing.com)  I have the Orange Bailey and Fonseca tribute bikes right now.  The 500 is a 2004 CR250 Frame with a 1994 CR500 motor, ported etc.

Thought I would stop by and talk about my day of riding.  Pretty fun, I am definitely out of shape. Felt like puking more than once  :P  I can say one thing. Anyone who hasn't ridden a 125 after many years or ever and is riding either 250 2 strokes, 250F's or 450F's, dang those 125's are light. I could not believe how light it felt.  Obviously the lack of low end is the only draw back, but the lightness definitely is missed in these new bikes. The ride was ok, I didn't feel too far off on jump timing, but definitely can tell I haven't been riding for a while.  My wife and daughter both rode on with me at times, and both are now willing to get their own...  ;D  Wish some of you guys would have made it out.  I met a couple guys, chased around a YZ250.  I was gonna chase this kid on a 250F and all of a sudden he was gone, I was like, how did he get so far ahead?  The guy on the YZ250 said, that kid goes around the jumps and cuts off a whole area of the track. LOL.   Anyways, maybe next time guys. Long live the 2 stroke.

I won't be working Saturdays anymore after next week, so if you go out there consistantly, post up when you will be there and I'll try to make it some time. Maybe we can do a swap for a lap or so.  ;D  CR500AF and KTM150

I can't go on Saturdays yet, (Nov 1 I start my no saturdays working)  but had planned on Sunday. Unfortunately I hurt my neck wrestling my wife the other night. I was showing my daughter some old highschool moves and ugh, stop, I'm hurt. LOL  Getting too old.

yeah, wrestling.
I'm from Iowa, wrestling is huge there.  It is kinda funny being here though. My daughter is in Karate, and the instructor has them "grapple" or I say wrestle. Anyways, it is painful to watch. NO ONE knows what the hell is going on when on the floor.  They know karate, but know dong about being on the floor.  I'm actually gonna go talk to him and ask if I can teach him some wrestling moves.  They just sit there tugging and pushing and trying for something. I just can't figure out who is winning half the time.  LOL

track was awesome today, wet and super tacky perfect for two strokes it was crazy how much traction there was. It was awesome it was about 9/10 two stroke to four stroke felt like the early 2000's again soo good to hear the music of 250's and 125's

Gonna try to make it to TMX this saturday. I will be bringing the 5 only.  The 125 is tore down and more to come about that rebuild. Sad that it only had 2 rides on a brand new piston. (It was tore down for the project, not from damage)   But this project will be something very interesting.
By the way, keep seeing posts of a kid on a KTM250 on vitalmx.  Do you know him?  #94 on his bike at TMX.

Went out yesterday, and had a pretty good time.  My friend took his ProCircuit KX125 out there, and let me ride it as well.  I'm not good enough to keep that bike up on it's topend.  The suspension is still way to stiff for me. It is definitely set up for a pro. Overall not a bad day, as long as I keep it on 2 wheels i'm good.  There were some KTM's there, so I was looking for a 2 stroke, but none there on KTM's. Just some Yamahas.
