Hi,
I recently bought a yz 125, it was advertised as a 2007 model although stupidly i waited till today to check the VIN number and realised its a 2005 model. This doesnt concern me as i still got a good deal. Although, the seller told me it had an "08" suspension set-up, aparentley the last owner got the newer suspension of a wrecked bike and put it on this one. How can i confirm that my forks and shock were manufactured in 2008 and are meant for an "08" model. I'm not getting my hopes up on this being true though.Any replies greatly appreciated.
Thanks, joel.

I really dont think it would matter. between 2005 and 2008 i dont think they made any major changes to the suspension so i wouldnt worry about it.

06 and up has the SSS suspension which is a big difference.

Yeah, my main concern is whether or not it's kayaba "sss".

the 06+ SSS suspension is a darker golden color vs the 05. The easy way is just by comparing pics of 06+ to ur's.
