Well in NZ :P
http://www.suzuki.co.nz/Motorcycle/Competition/ (http://www.suzuki.co.nz/Motorcycle/Competition/)
I picked up a local dirtbike mag today and there was a 2 page add for the new RMZs and RMs, so checked out Suzuki NZ's web site.
I'm not sure if the RM 125 and 250 were ever not avilable here in NZ, but I did hear that they were going to bringing in a shipment of 08s.
The thing is they are now making an effort to sell them, and the 2 strokes were on the first page of the add too hmmmm interesting???

Holy crap the price difference! A RM250 is thousands cheaper than a RMZ250 let alone how much more cheaper it is than a RMZ450.
-
Why 08's? Suzuki is still making two strokes just not dealing them in the states.

Well you could call them 2010s or 2011s but they are still 2008s I guess?
-
Are those in Australian dollars? Okay, I've changed my favorite bike. I would have an 08 RM250.
-
They are 08's. Or as Suzuki calls them K8's.
Not sure why they havn't changed the model year like Yamaha has but it is still the same bike anyway.
The price is in kiwi dollars.
They had a special a few months ago where the 250's were $8995. :)
Anyway bloody good buying anyway.

It is ashame that the riders in the usa all jumped on the 4t bandwagon in the beginning and stopped buying new 2t's.Had they kept buying them we might still be able to get a new rm250 here.
-
The last Gen of Rms are by far the 2 stroke ever made. This thing feel so light and nimble...a bit out of control sometimes..but so damn fun!!!
-
Yes Susuki still MFG's 2 strokes, but they are not available in the states... :(

I thought they stopped making them altogether, just like honda and kawasaki.
I have never seen them advertised in Aus at all for a couple of years.
we have the largest dirt bike market per capita in the world, we should have em here then.
Im goin to annoy my local suzi dealer and find out.LOL
-
I believe Kawi still makes at least the KX 250 but doesn't really distribute them anywhere because they make such a small amount of them. I am pretty sure Honda is the only company that has completely stopped the 2t.
-
Kawi and Suzuki still produce smokers :) 65's and 85's!

We do. There are plenty of Suzuki dealers here in Aus that still sell new RM250's. You shouldnt have any problem buying a new one if you want to buy one !!!!!!
