Ended up trading a vintage race SL125 for a 1982 YZ490 to race at Washougal this year. So far I raced an 83 CR480 and a TT500 there, definitely a blast ripping up Horse Power Hill.

A little more dialing in and it will be Washougal ready! Redid the suspension, exhaust, Fat Bars and new tires:P

Good looking bike!

Checked the carb and it had the stock 490 jetting in it, which is 440 main and 50 pilot. Checked on base line 465 jetting and went with 380 main and 45 pilot. Starts 2-3 kicks and runs way cleaner, might change needle clip but for my altitude runs good. I'll take a few jets to Washougal just in case.

You traded an SL125 for a YZ490... that's two bikes on complete opposite ends of the power scale...
