Title: The old Puch
Post by: Lolerbabop on April 20, 2013, 07:06:47 PM
So today i fired up the old Puch Dakota because i have no tires left on my car. Had to get to a mates house, too lazy to take the bicycle. It started up pretty easy after a couple years of no use.

So heres the thing. It's got some goodies on there, bigger cylinder, high compression piston and some mods to the carb. But i thought id make an expansion chamber for it. But what thicknes should the metal be? Can it be "too" thick or thin?

I'll have a look at the thicknes of the material i've got access to, tomorrow. I'd say its 2-3 mm's thick tho.

1.2mm is fine. Too thick will be too heavy, too thin will be too hard to work with.

Sounds legit, you can pick them up on ebay for dirt cheap as well.
