Go Blose, I hope he comes home with a 10 and upwards finish. A podium finish would be the dream.... Ohhh the speech I would deliver to those four jokers that have to wait about 12 hours for their bikes to cool off before they wash em...

wasn't blose riding for H&H dodge ? i wonder what happened to that ride?

if any of the pro teams should be running 2 strokes it should be the hart and huntington team

1.  H&H are SX only, but are supposed to run both in 2013.
2. H&H are Kawasaki-backed, and Kawi doesn't have a two stroke.

I've been saying since day 1, if ANY team should be running a two stroke it is JGR.  They not only have factory Yamaha backing, but have the manpower and shop to make it competitive with the 450s on the pro level.  Yes, I am aware they built one for Josh Grant for the whip contest at the X-games, but that was probably graphics, a pipe, and suspension valving.  But at least it goes to show that JGR actually owns a 250 two stroke.

Out side of that, the 2011 KTM 250SX is legal and it's a 2012 without linkage.  No reason a  top privateer could not be on one with some hellacious motor work and one of those trick carbs they do for them now.

Has anyone heard about AJ actually considering getting the AMA to sign off on his AF bikes?  There are talks.  And if the AMA said no, i'd show them a picture of the 1997 YZM400, and tell them they are hallucinating.

^^^^^^You can race a handmade works bike^^^^^^, but you can't race a 2012 KTM250SX, or a 2001 CR250 engine in a 2009 chassis.

He was on Motosport Outlet Kawi with Nick Wey.  Blose rode for H&H last year. Both of those teams are SX only though.

That's right.  Motosport.  In that case, I have sponsored the hell out of Chris BROse the last month while building that Katie M. 125 S-Sex.

What does everyone think of 2-stroke hating Matthes throwing in to help Blose this weekend?  I shouldn't say hating because at least he acknowledged the 125 class going away was a terrible injustice to the sport.

Matthes was an original YZ400 mechanic.  His fooper roots go back to the first damn bike, second rider (Tim Ferry)

Chris made every SX main event this season. I was pretty impressed with that considering some of the guys who didnt. I dont think he's raced outdoors in a few years though. He should definitely be somewere in the top 20-25

Are you sure you're thinking about 2012?  I remember Blose missing a good portion of the season with a torn up shoulder.

That's what I said.  I was standing there with a pipe for my 125SX of Doom, and I said "hey you give Ricky pipes don't you?"

he said "yea, and he is going to be doing the nationals this year on the 125."

I said, "you've got to be shitting me."

he said, "no sir."

aww hell, i'm surprised he hasn't reached out to tsm, if anything a couple extra bottles of cold water in his cooler after slamming that 125 around ever turn for 30+2

all I know is that the closest national to Ricky's house is Budds Creek, and I will be there.  If he really does show to any of them, even one, it'll be Budds.  I'll find him if he is there, I am thinking about flagging the finish line for the national.  I'd really like to just walk around and get drunk, maybe heckle a few certain industry people, but flagging gets you so close that you get hit with tear offs.

By the way, Ricky Renner is not doing all the nationals.  From his Twitter he's considering doing 2.  Doesn't feel he has a chance in timed qualifying because of how deep the tracks get ripped.

Here is an interview with Blose.  They even get onto the subject of why someone racing a 2T gets so much attention but they seem to not understand why. Also, they don't touch on the cost factor of running a four stroke (esp at a national level) but its kind of implied -- "its my only bike right now"

He said that the two strokes get attention (but he really doesn't understand why). So he wants a piece of that attention. Not in so many words but that's what I got out of his side of the interview.

I wish someone would make the point sometime that the only reason 4 strokes dominate these days is because of rules -- not because they are inherently superior (cc for cc anyway).

Be Very suspicious of ANY race effort like this where known FOOPER TROOPERS are claiming to "Support" some kind of two stroke effort... BECAUSE it is very often a FRAUD....

Such as Sleeter's highly publicized and underwhelming effort of a few years ago... He talked it up about going out there on the 250, didn't qualify, and then used his time in the spotlight to say, "The whole time I was out there... I was wishing I could be on the new 350 Fooper..." The whole focus of that wormy publicity effort was to try to divert some of the 250SX's market share toward newly launched TubboTurd-350...

You would think that KTM would be behind their 250SX but in fact they are not, no matter what kind of bullshit they spew on glossy brochure pages...

KTM had a guy who's heart was into the 250SX, not some guy who barely qualifies NO MATTER what bike, but a guy who podiumed at Bercy... and they didn't support him or his people at all so that shows you where they stand.

SO... When you hear about a "Two Stroke Racing Effort" that has ANY ties to some kind of TUBBO-TURD faction or person like Matthes, [OR Basically... anyone collecting a paycheck at present from the rotting carcass of the sport/industry] take it with a grain of salt becuase it's very likely a fake and it's true intention is a very visible "Bike Failure" that the camera's will show and the announcers will mention, OR some other staged opportunity for nagative spin...

[Remember that when Brian Shukhart 414 ran well in the nationals in 09 and 10 he was never mentioned - and the guys who qualified last year and ran well at High Point were never mentioned]

After the mega fussed over FOOPER engines spent last years outdoor series popping like piglets in the microwave... the FOOPER sellers will be motivated to try to influence the market in more creative and shady ways. Whether that's FONDA buying out Cedric Soubeyras to stop the damage he was doing... or another method remeains to be seen.

Thanks,
