I figure I'll pack up the old 1156,441 and a little gear and head over,I'll work for a few months and come back here and retire. You can't make this kind of $$ here cutting trees.God bless the urbanites. You in Sachs? You can bring your mill.

Oh yeah Australia's such a hole.....,
Lol what he said. Everything is really expensive though. And there are some less than exciting laws... But atleast we don't have to worry about getting shot. Well not as much as some anyway:P
I used to have a supply of wooden power poles years ago. Aussie hardwood.
The only wood where I have seen sparks come off the wood.
I spent a few weekends when I was a young fella drilling holes in the posts ( we were making orchard posts ) with an old Desoutter Drill with a 6Ft bar screwed into the top.
With 1 1/4 inch bit it would grab and throw you around.
Very hard wood.
Thats just how we make our wood over here, very very hard

Around here,we start them off on the little Stihls until they're old enough to run a Jonsered or Husky.
-
Some lowlife ripped off my Stihl, I miss that saw. When you're done with the Jons or Huskies it's then time to move up to a Dolmar.
-
I've heard some good things about them-the bigger ones anyway. Now that they and Solo are together maybe they'll all be rebadged Solo's I've always been a "form follows function" sort of guy but the Dolmars have got to be the ugliest saw ever produced..
-
The bigger Solo's are rebadged Dolmars.

Australia sounds like a wonderful place to flee to at times...at least until I read the occasional news article from there where some incredibly stupid law or another has put someone else in jail for something they would be laughed at for here in the states...
...and then there's the commentary from various aussies that I've received, where if you aren't from Australia....the locals can be a bit harsh on you.
Haven't ever been there, but i'd like to visit someday. The automobiles that are available there are phenomenal, compared to most of the garbage here in the states...however, there's always a catch.

Likely just a little put out that their women prefer a real man-a Canadian one especially-even more so,an Eastern Canadian one.
