I found this from Twostroke Todd. It's the link to Suzuki's website for 2012 models. The 2008 RM250 is listed in the lineup for 2012:

I wonder if they will keep the price at $6099 or pull a Yamaha and tack on another $1000...... Still a great bike though, I would love one!!

Good news good news!!!

Let me get this right,Suzuki is listing a four year old motorcycle in their 2012 lineup? Things are getting stranger by the minute! :-X
-
They have been making these still in Europe. My guess is they have not changed anything since then, and may re-introduce them again. Hopefully the price stays the same, that is a deal!

Too me, I like it better than slapping stickers on a bike and calling it a freakin 2012 though. LOL. Stupid Yamaha. BS, they charge so much.

Yep, MXA mentioned it in their 250 2 stroke "shootout".
Great news, finally another model besides the overpriced YZ. From what I hear it'll be much cheaper than the YZ in price.

These bikes are still years ahead of the Fs, I wish they would've included the 125 too. They would sell out of them, and those RMs will be gone within a few months. Hopefully, there will be enough to last more than a couple of months.
-
hopefully they do sell out in a couple of months. that would be proof to suzuki that making a 2 stroke makes sense and if a 4 year old design can sell out then imagine what an update would do. obviously price would have a lot to do with it cos that is damn cheap.
i rang a local suzuki dealer in oz a couple months back and asked him if suzuki were bringing in 2 strokes for 2012 and he told me they werent cos they had cleared all their stock in 2011 so now its just 4 strokes. i told him that was a shame and it looked like i would be buying ktm then.
the oz website lists them for 2012 tho so i guess it was just another salesman pushing the 4 strokes

I don't. Then there would be no more.
Some have missed the point here.
Suzuki dont make the RM any more. The reason they are K8's is because that is when they were made.
Suzuki are selling of stock they have had for 4 years. Which means not many people wanted one. :(
When they are gone, they are gone.
At least Suzuki are not bullshitting us and saying they are 11's or 12's like Yamaha is.
I hope Suzuki start making them again as they are one of the best handling bikes money can buy.
We can buy RM's here for 2k less then a YZ. ???
I know which one I would have.

Has Suzuki offered the RM250 every year like this?

In Australia they have. It's a shame they don't make them anymore, while we haven't seen a return to two strokes like you have in America I am slowly starting to see a few more getting around the tracks. Only seems to be guys that aren't racing tho. Anyone that is serious is still on 4 strokes
-
Around here most of the top amateur riders are on smokers. Two strokes are dominating all of the 250 classes.
-
They're gonna sell like hot cakes at fat camp, then they'll revamp it, with more modern suspension components, and direct fuel injection, and bring back the RMX by 2014. The 125's will also reappear.
-
X2, I could see that.

This is the best 2 stroke dirt bike that I owned by far.. so fun ..really nimble and feels really light...bulletproof. ask Pastrana!
