Ken Roczen and KTM have won the U.S. 250SX West Championship. A European rider on a European motorcycle, never thought I'd see the day. Mr.Decoster wins another title.
-
If only he had been on a two stroke
-
not to mention 2nd in points for musquin, 1st for roczen, 2 ktm's got the holeshot to get into the E/W shootout, dungey getting 3rd overall in points
-
Good to see a change.
Both 250 races were bloody good with both titles decided on the last lap.
-
they don't count those 125 sx titles. we'll see if he can bring it home at the nationals.
-
I was hoping Moose-Can was going to hang with Roczen for a 1-2 in the shootout. If he had ridden like he did the last few laps of his race,it would have been something to see.

Based on the thread title I was expecting you to post Honda to begin MFG a two stroke again...
No OK sorry back to the thread discussion...

I was wondering if ford had bought a Maico.

A friend of mine (who has since pasted away) was once the western Canadian importer for KTM. If only Dan were alive to see what is happening now.

KTM is starting to seriously challange the big four. the japs need to start kicking out the jams or they'll get left in the dust. I'm seeing a ton more katooms around my area. As far as pro racing goes, since decoster went to KTM they've won their first ever AMA supercross title, an AMA national championship and now roczen takes the 250 west. Theres more winnings in there im sure but I dont keep up so I dont know.
They're bloody good bikes. Fast, handle like a tram car, so much as sneeze on the brakes and you come to a grinding halt ( I cannonballed a 125 sx recently after being on my 2001 HONDA brakes for ages... Holy crap) So many goodies you can't count em. And that mean orange... Dayum is all I can say. I want one.

Yep,I hear it. I've been down that road before though-and am too old and experienced now to be fooled by a just a pretty face.
Besides, anyone that's accustomed to a Honda would be stoked taking a ride in my wheelbarrow.
No Maico for me yet TMKIWI,or anyone else so far.

I'm stoked riding anything BUT my 125...

Actually,my buddies 92 CR125 was one of my all time favourite rides.

Well the 2001 model of mine is a right c***. When honda introduced their "spectacular" aluminium frame CR125 innnn... 98? 97? One of the two they wrecked it. 3 or 4 years later respectively the design is pretty much the same and thanks to the DD rules around the world, it wasn't planning on changing anytime soon.
