I have just moved from a local sand track to serious hardpack. Not having much experience in hardpack, I'm looking for some advice on some good Hardpack hoops.
Anyone.

Pilot Power race compound :D

On a serious note. All we pretty much ride here in Brisbane is hardpack, and I have had great success with the Pirelli Scorpion int/soft front with the int/hard rear. Incredible feel and traction in the front, and really good hook up in the rear, with awesome lifespan of both the front and rear. I am real picky about tyres and these are the best I have used in a long time. I definitely reckon you should give them a try.

WTF is pilot power race compound ??
Where abouts in Brissie swapper ??

Sorry I was being a Smart... , Pilot Power is what I have on my gsxr it's a street tire.
I usually run the 756 (now replaced by the 51) on everything, I just adjust how I ride depending on how much traction I am getting but I also dont mind sliding a little either.

Cable stretcher..what are you doing on a GSX-R? Be a man..go get the 10-r! But I like the new BMW.. I run the same tires BTW on my sportbike!

I hate the 756, I'll repeat hate them. I do like the 952 a lot and have it for all 3 CR's. They hook up good and last longer than the 756 by far. Just my opinion. ;D

I always liked the 756 ok.It just doesn't crossover that well and loses alot of it's bite when it starts to wear.I generally prefer a Michelin M12 front and S12 rear for just about everything.

Actually the GSX-R is for sale I am wanting to get a skid steer to build a track at my house. I do like the new BMW, that thing is sexy and with traction control, stability control, and (rumor) when released up to 17k put out 222hp on all the stock componets all for mid teens $$$.

Hey, I think, now don't get too mad at me, but motosport.com sells tires called Artrax. They sell for about half the price, and they look pretty decent. I have them in my basement right now, and the front tire went on no problem, the back one, well, that was my own fault, but I should be writing up a review soon.

The Bridgestone M22/M23 combo used to be the gold standard for hard compound according to the comic books (mainstream magazines), but here in Maine I never had a need to try them - too much mud!!

Yes those tires used to be one of the best for hard pack... before those I used Metzelers which had a soft compound tire that stuck like glue!! But that was way back in the old days! LOL
