SachsGS.
Since you used to have 7 RM's of the same vintage as me, what is up with all 3 of my carbs do not have idle mixture screws.
All the parts fiche show the Mikuni's with mixture screws. Mine do not.
Maybe different models internationally.?
84',85' & 86 model RM125's.

Totally different bike and carb, but my '85 kdx200's Mikuni doesn't have an air screw either

Have you had any tuning issues ?
-
nope, bike has always ran great until the float stuck and flooded the bottom end

My RM's were 81 thru 83 and had idle mixture screws.I've worked on the mid 80s RM125s and don't recall them NOT having idle mixture screws (here in Canada).

Could throw a newer carb in there, just a thought.

Don't want to do that. There is nothing wrong with the mikuni's on the bikes, it is just odd that mine dont have the mixture screw when all the parts fiche's show there is.
Will wait till the bikes are going and go from there.

Given NZ's small population,do Aussie distributors handle most of the offroad business there?

? No.
I can get anything I need of the shelf here.
Not sure what you mean.

For example, does Honda have a subsidiary in Australia that takes care of New Zealand as well?
-
No. We have our own importers seperate to Aussie.

I can see how that would really jack prices up.
