Charlies:
Do you have a google calendar for this effort? You could put in the race days each rider will attend to help us follow. Can't wait for news!

Late night in the shop! Busy day for the triplets tomorrow/today. Motors heading to Cycle Playground, Suspension to WP USA and frames to Advanced Coating Solutions.
-
Man your operation looks just so professional! Very nice!
Are the bikes going to be clones or is there some customization for each rider? Do you plan to vary just for experimentation sake -- like one bike is the HP king another is more of a torque master? You could use the data on which bike does best for following races and seasons. Just curious.

The bikes will be clones visually. Each motor is being built to the riders desire, they will also be running their own preferred bar bends.
Motors/carbs are heading to Cycle Playground now, we should be able to begin testing/tuning this weekend.. if everything goes right.
-
Assembly line waiting on frames and motors to come back.
The Nihilo gas caps look good!
-
All I can say is ... Loving the "triplets"
-
really excited about this!
-
I cant wait to see some two strokes on TV.
-
knowing that these 250's put out almost 50 hp stock,It would be interesting to know what they have achieved at the factory with these engines.
that they don't want to say. I do believe that there is 2 stroke momentum buildlng and that some success in the U.S. with a large market could help push KTM to push there 2 stroke RD forward.
At least I hope so.

Time for some pics?
Nihilo Brake Tips

Seats from Pete at Traction MX Seating.
They are black/orange the lighting makes it look gray. They are the same black as the YZ and the project bikes.
-
What's the full list of things your having done to these bikes? doesnt seem like there will be any KTM left.

We are replacing the stock 4 piece metal cooling T's in the frame with a solid 1 piece silicone part.

Looking so good !!
Bring on the outdoors !!
-
What are those even good for?
Oh! And imo you guys should have painted the sub frame and swingarm black.

They are aluminum, more rigid that the OEM plastic cage offers a better seal with no added weight.
Powder coating the swingarm and subframe would have looked good.. on a show bike

It would have looked good on a race bike also.
Marshall's proof from www.ridepg.com
These would look nice... On a show bike.
-
Gunna look so sweet can't wait to see em finished
-
It would have looked great on the race bikes, for a moto or two. Then they would get chipped and look real bad.

When do you get your 380 motors for them?
-
Haha, our 250 motors will be here in a few hours.
Yes we have extra top ends/gaskets, we're expecting tear downs
-
About 24 hours after the rules change to allow them. I would think...
When do you get your 380 motors for them?

Awesome bikes. Im looking forward to seeing them in Tennessee.

Looking great!

STOP IT CHARLES!!!! I've already ruined one keyboard from drooling over the triplets....

Charles have you thought about sponsorship from APT Billet smart carbs on those bikes.
pretty sure at this point its not a matter of getting sponsored by them, but a matter of getting the carbs in hand
-
Yeah, we would love to have them. They sent one out to us yesterday for testing
-
STOP IT CHARLES!!!! I've already ruined one keyboard from drooling over the triplets....
After I re-read my post, It got me thinking that my statement can be taken in different ways..
-
Great work buddy!
-
As far as I am concerned, the guys that get to ride these things in the AMA motocross NATIONALS, are the luckiest sons of ****es on the face of the earth. I'd much rather be in their shoes, than any of the top stars. Two strokes have been gone from the AMA circuit for too long, bring the noise!
-
I've already ruined one keyboard from drooling over the triplets....
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, triplets.
What sites are you watching.
Bikes look good btw.
-
Yeah, we would love to have them. They sent one out to us yesterday for testing
Charles, have you shown APT / SmartCarb the extent of your Team efforts?
I can't see how they couldn't sponsor you with product for the 3 bikes - as, from my extensive readings of the various threads on other sites, they are providing carbs to people that have next to no profile. Now, whether or not it's free carbs, or carbs at a significant discount, I don't know - but I do know, a mate of mine, got a significant discount on five SmartCarbs, after I told him of them, and he contacted them. Maybe he's a seriously talented "spinner", and you are much more modest?
If you've approached them, and shown them your efforts, I'm truly disappointed in Corey and his company, if they have not given you product backing. You're not requesting funds as well, to run items on your bikes? Sorry if that's insulting you, by the way.
-
We have been in contact with them for a while, there is a waiting list for testing.
Ours shipped on the 22nd, we will be testing it as soon as it arrives.
-
The bikes are looking quite impressive and capable.
Have you run into any issues with the builds?
How soon till your riders get some saddle time?
Watching with Keen Interest!
-
We went and picked up the hauler from Powersport Grafx today, the 1/2 wrap turned out great!
No issues with the builds, the KTM's have been a pleasure to work on. From a mechanics view they are amazing machines.
They are all ready, we will be at WP USA testing next week until Muddy Creek.
Sottile is currently at SOB, Robby is heading back after the race this weekend. I do know the guys should have more time on the bikes, but it was out of my control.
We're just starting out, if this was just a one race deal like Daytona it would be worse. After Muddy Creek we will keep testing until our last round at Unadilla. Then we put our plans together for next year, which is already looking great.
We have awesome track side support at most of the rounds from several sponsors. June will be the craziest month of my life, but I can't wait!
-
Nice!
My arm will still be in a sling but I'm going try to make it to Mount Morris. Not sure I can swing a pitt pass (wife is coming so everything doubled for me haha) but I'll be there with my old original TSM shirt on you gave me lol.
-

It will also be one of the most memorable months... I can guarantee you one thing... The team will be cheered at every event... Win, lose or draw, everyone is really excited to hear a two stroke getting is neck wrung... Even my 4 stroke friends are excited to see and hear the smoker on the pro level again.
Remember Charles, take it one step at a time, and keep building off the previous step....

Coop I too plan to attend... We will have to meet up some where... I assume you will be easy to spot... You will be the one in the TSM shirt partially covered with a arm sling...

I'll just tell people I tried to jump a triple on a 4 stroke and came up short so I am switching to 2 strokes when I heal .
-
So interested in those carbs. Can't wait to hear about them. And for the suspension. Did you guys do the sxs internal upgrade or the 50mm a kit stuff that's nearly impossible to find? Debating on suspension for my 250. Really interested in your setup.

Yeah, we tried to register Ryan several times. He never renewed his license or sent in his waivers. He said he's not ready for Muddy Creek.
That being said, we will have only Marshall and Sottile in for TN.
-
those two will be hungry! come on ryan get it together son.

Give Courtney a free ride on Ryan's bike!
