I wonder how many of those Honda could sell?

A gazillion. This would probably sell more than their 450Fs and 250Fs combined, as well as outsell all the other brands. It makes you wonder why they don't do a special limited edition for a couple of years like the Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang, and Chevy Camaro. Man, wouldn't that be cool - a modern factory made retro 2-stroke?

Very cool, and used a completely different idea for a conversion/build !!

I wonder if Honda will bring back the CR line. I notices that after many years Service Honda no longer uses CR on the converted bikes.
What used to be CR500AF is now 500AF without the CR.

The Kawasaki's are still KX500AF.

So I would guess that Honda asked Service Honda to stop using the "CR" designation. It could mean Honda is just being Honda and stopped Service from using CR just to be pricks. Or they could be ready to develop the best two strokes the world has ever seen...

If Honda decided to build two strokes, The 4 joke handicap would probably just go away.

I don't think Honda will ever build smokers again.  They have stated time and time again, they produce 4 strokes only.

Honda will never make 2 strokes again.
They have spent the last 30 years telling everyone how crap smokers are.

Didn't they fight 2 strokes in the 60's-70's as well?

Yep.

Pretty much until the end really. Sad too, they produced some of the best 2 strokes out there.

I've heard that in the last days of the four-stroke before Honda finally found the light, Honda fans were seen to brag that their bike had "twice as many strokes!"  Those who rode 350 Big Horns couldn't do anything but laugh, and listen to the reasons why Captain SL70 doesn't want to do a drag race.

A few days ago I came across a 1975 Honda MR50 I have stored in my basement. I used this bike to teach my kids how to shift and use a clutch when they were 6 or 7 years old. That tiny little 2 stroke Honda sure brought back a lot of memories.

It sounds as though you have too many bikes to keep track of...  :o I'll be happy to allow you to store the "excess" bikes in my garage.  I won't even sharge you a storage fee...  Of course one or two would need to be red in color starting with the "M" word, and need to be at least 400 cc's...    :D

Now that I've actually taken the time to look at the picture that started this conversation, I have to say I really like what they did with that CR.  It simply looks better than the silly red-and-white candycane nonsense they're rolling out these days.  If you're going to sell a red bike, you've got to have black and yellow to go with it.

Hmm...  Hey wait a second, doesn't that sound lik[SILENCE! THE BLACK HELICOPTERS HAVE SPOKEN!]

Very HOT CR. I,m selling my practice bike 06 cr125 next spring and it kills me to do it,but  I,ll be looking for a 04 cr125 to replace it in the future. I know that I,ll never fing another 06 cr125, but oh well. I,m hanging on to my cr144 I think.
